Coronavirus Update – Please read carefully – 18/03/20

Thank you for your positive messages, communication and support over the last couple of days. We greatly appreciate this and it has clearly support your children as, in school, their attitudes have been exceptional.

Over the next couple of days, to all pupils, we will send ‘Home-Learning Packs’ either to your home or with your child (if they are still attending school) to support a period of home learning if and when the need arises. Within the pack, there are details about key tasks for your child to complete, as well as information on how we will continue to communicate with you. In addition to the Home-Learning pack, we have ordered CPG books for each child so that they can continue learning or consolidate their year group content.

The current government advice remains in place regarding school closures: no education or children’s social care setting should close in response to a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case unless advised to do so by Public Health England. Decisions on future advice to education or children’s social care settings will be taken based on the latest and best scientific evidence, which at this stage suggests children are a lower risk group. From today, all after-school activities are cancelled until further notice, which means that football and drama will not take place tomorrow or on Friday.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our incredible staff who have been working so hard to ensure as much normality as possible for our pupils and their families in extremely difficult circumstances.

With best wishes,

Mr Brogan
